Last updated: 30 July 2026
Who we are
Hewett Heat is a plumbing and heating business operated by Will Hewett as a sole trader, serving Balsall Common, Dorridge and the surrounding areas. For anything related to your personal data, contact us at hewettheat@gmail.com or on 07475 838701. Hewett Heat is the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry through the booking form on this site, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you need, and any details you include in your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry, provide quotes, and arrange and carry out work. Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell your data.
Third-party services and your IP address
Like most websites, this site relies on a few external services. When the page loads or you submit the form, your device's IP address is visible to these providers as a normal part of how the web works. We do not log or store your IP address ourselves. The services are:
- Web3Forms — delivers your booking-form enquiry to our inbox (Web3Forms privacy policy).
- Google — serves the fonts used on this site (Google Fonts), and we receive your enquiry in a Gmail inbox (Google privacy policy).
- unpkg (Cloudflare) — a content delivery network that serves the software behind our coverage map.
- OpenStreetMap — provides the map imagery in our "Where We Operate" section (OSM Foundation privacy policy).
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking technology.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months after it is resolved. If you become a customer, we keep records of the work for as long as required for accounting, warranty, and gas-safety obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it.
To exercise any of these rights, just email or call us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
